This year the event, sponsored by Bishop Auckland Town Council, is taking place inside Bishop Auckland College (DL14 6JZ), their will be 16 Live Bands performing on 2 Live Music stages.  The festival had to be changed to an indoor event due to the torrential rain and flash floods which almost forced the cancellation of last year's festival and caused extensive damage to the fields.

Bishop Auckland Town Councillor Alan Anderson, who sits on the Music and Arts Festival Committee, added: "Whilst it is obviously frustrating that we cannot hold an outdoor event this year, we are still putting on a superb line-up of live bands on Saturday. I would urge fans of live music to come along and support the festival to ensure its future."

Organisers recommend advance purchase of tickets to avoid disappointment due to limited capacity indoors. Tickets are available from Bishop Auckland College main reception or call 01388 443000 and Bishop Auckland Town Hall Box Office call 03000 269524.
