Colleges Week 2012

The College will be organising and getting involved with a range of activities and events to celebrate national Colleges Week between 11-18 November 2012, including:

• Apprenticeships Jobs Fair – Friday 16th November 9:30am – 12:30pm and Saturday 17th November 10:30am – 2:30pm

OVER 25 VACANCIES TO FILL! Come along and see what Apprenticeship opportunities are currently available for 16 to 24 year olds, in areas such as:

• The 2D College Community Festive Fair – Saturday 17th November 10:30am – 2:30pm

If you want to try your hand at a range of practical activities come along and join in the FREE ‘Have a Go’ taster sessions in the College’s first class facilities. You can choose as many ‘Have a Go’ sessions as you wish on the day – everything from Animation  and Creative Industries to the Great British Bake Off,  Plastering, Music Technology, Hairdressing, Nail Art and much more. • The Skills Show at Birmingham NEC hosted by WorldSkills UK – 15th to 17th November

The College will be exhibiting over the three-day event and a group of our students will be attending the WorldSkills Exhibition to learn about WorldSkills and to see students from all over the country competing against each other. The College has also been short listed for a prestigious ‘Enterprise Award’. We'll find out at the event if we have won the overall award – fingers crossed!
